How to diversify (as an European)

I'm not going to do the "doomer post", but indeed the market has been heating up quite a bit. I'd like to diversify and possibly miss on some gains, but lower the risk of loss. Right now my portfolio is relatively heavily tech, although mostly ETFs. I own: - 10% …

Freetrade reserved cash but no queued investment

I invested £100 into a vanguard fund on Freetrade outwith market hours, however I can't see my order in queued orders even though the market is now open, the only thing I can see is that there's £100 reserved cash but no record of my investment, any help?

The military industrial complex ETF ($WR) - sharing my thesis

The geopolitical risk premium has been repriced higher and I don't think it goes back down. $WR is my way of having defense exposure without picking individual contractors. Lockheed's F-35 program, Raytheon's missile systems, L3Harris's electronics - all in there. I think of it as insurance that actually has return …

What do you do for work and what can you see in investing that other people might not?

I'm a software engineer. When ChatGPT first launched in 2022, developers used AI chatbots to help them figure out small issues. We'd copy and paste code snippets to and from ChatGPT. This went on for 3 years until late 2025, when I first tried to code with an AI agent. …

Upstart is a deeply undervalued credit AI infrastructure platform with immense profitable revenue growth

Upstart is a fully automated AI company with immensely deep value and profitable revenue growth I last made an AMD post 3 months ago before it went parabolic in ValueInvesting, highlighting that AMD has a .7 peg ratio, stating AMD was the best value and growth stock, since then AMD …

The machine that makes chips possible now has its own ETF

The export control angle on $EUV doesn't get talked about enough. ASML was already restricted from selling advanced EUV machines to China. That makes their technology even more strategically valuable for western-aligned fabs. US, European, and Japanese fab expansions all run through ASML. Structural tailwind that isn't going away. Long …

Digital banking is still growing globally - $KYC thesis check

Why I'm staying in $KYC even through the underperformance. The companies in this ETF have sticky B2B revenue, high switching costs, and exposure to the global digitization of banking. None of that has changed. What's changed is market sentiment toward fintech. That's cyclical. The business fundamentals are not. Holding.

Why I prefer $BREW over individual consumer staples stocks

Starbucks has had its issues but the coffee category overall keeps growing globally. [$BREW]() is broader than any single name - it's the whole coffee and energy drink ecosystem. International expansion is still a major growth driver, especially in emerging markets where per-capita coffee consumption is growing fast. Added as …

Grid stability and battery storage - $WATS captures both themes

$WATS has been doing well and I think most people still don't appreciate how big the battery storage market is getting. The demand is coming from multiple directions simultaneously: renewable integration, data center backup, grid stability, behind-the-meter commercial storage. This is a multi-year structural story, not a momentum trade.
