I'm sitting on some cash and looking for advice on the best way to spread it out

I (30M) am currently sitting on a little over 100k in cash that i previously had in a treasury trust fund. I was looking at keeping this money in a relatively safe location to use towards a house soon, however I'm now thinking of diversifying a bit (probably into some index funds). I've read that VOO or SPY are pretty safe bets. Any one have any advice on what a good split would be here?
