In February of this year I discovered stocks and shares ISA and decided to invest. I decided to research first and seen a few comments about ethics and shitty companies who are bad for the planet.
Therefore I decided to invest mostly in ESG and SRI to put my money to good. I know these aren’t perfect and there’s some bad companies that slip through the cracks but I felt like I could never be perfect anyways. Like I went to invest into palantir but immediately cancelled it after reading about the company.
Half the vids on investing dont even go into this.
I’ve been investing a lot in AI and feel guilty for this, Nvidia and AMD. I feel like am I contributing money to things that are harming the planet and something that is gonna take peoples jobs?
However at the end of the day, I am in the stock market to make money and make my money work for me. I struggle with OCD and just feel like I’m destroying the world.. just curious for people’s opinions on this topic.
