NVIDIA Earnings, Bitcoin at $80K, and a Market That’s Starting to Look Different
Both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq are green, but I think the more interesting story is what’s happening underneath the indexes.
Some semiconductor stocks have cooled off while software names have held up better. Nvidia earnings are coming up and expectations are obviously extremely high, so I’m especially interested in the stock’s reaction and guidance rather than simply whether they beat estimates.
Moderna has also had a massive week, Bitcoin is holding around $80K, and a lot of companies are becoming eligible to resume stock buybacks after earnings.
Another trend I’m watching is U.S. manufacturing and infrastructure spending. AI gets most of the attention, but factories, electrical grids, steel, equipment and domestic supply chains could create opportunities outside of semiconductor stocks.
Personally, I’m not making major portfolio changes. I’m continuing to dollar-cost average, sell options and reinvest the premiums.
Curious what everyone thinks is the bigger catalyst from here: Nvidia earnings, Bitcoin/crypto, or a broader rotation outside semiconductors?
