I'm currently all-in on semis (memory in particular) and tech and I'm down 5%. I don't mind the current loss too much because l believe it'll turn profit by next year.
What bothers me is the fact that I bought too hastily when I knew I had time to wait for a better entry point.
Once I get out, I'm planning to diversify into world ETFs and some satellite stocks as factor tilts. I could just sell off everything and do that now, and I can see it being the rational choice. But I'm quite certain on the memory bottleneck that I also don't feel like it's a good choice to panic sell at this point.
So my question is not about my current position but whether it's normal to feel conflicted when investing. Is it a sign that I'm making irrational decision, or is it a psychological trap that I need to control myself against?
