I do not have faith in the US dollar to not lose large amounts of value in the coming year(s). I want to hedge against this through digitally held assets, and non US companies. What are some methods to invest outside of it
For context, I'm 25 and my current assets are:
$12K in an employer matched retirement account invested 80% stocks, 20% bonds
$15K in the stock market through my brokerage split between the S&P 500, and AMD Stock.
$1.5K in bitcoin bought at 60K
$65K in cash in a checking account (I know that's bad, I want to throw a large portion of it into the S&P 500 for awhile now but I'll get to that)
Seeing market analysis and the absolutely insane state of the stock market at the moment, and how so many American companies are overvalued, job reports are most likely being cooked, insane amounts of debt that people can't afford, etc, I have very little confidence in the US economy for the short term future (As in, the next 2-5 years).
I want to invest my money smartly for my future, but I just can't bring myself to follow the traditional investing advice of throwing a large portion of surplus income into the S&P 500, while I have very little confidence in this economy.
I am looking for ways to invest in stocks, companies, and assets (Not crypto or NFTS, or anything of that vein) that are not tied to the US Economy.
I would buy Gold and silver, but I'm a digital nomad who lives out of 2 large backpacks who hops around Latin America, and change countries every 6 months. I am American, but I don't live in America.
With all that being said, what are some ways for me to invest my money outside of the US economy and the dollar? I have done some research into International ETFs, but I would like to hear from the community at large
