Looking for thoughts on a long-term portfolio
I’ve been thinking about a core and satellite approach for a 20+ year horizon:
* 55% XEQT as the broad global equity core
* 15% VHT (healthcare)
* 15% QTUM (quantum / AI / machine learning theme)
* 15% UFO (space economy)
No crypto, no leveraged products.
I’m aware there’s some overlap (especially XEQT with the others through tech/healthcare holdings). The idea is to keep a solid diversified core while deliberately adding modest exposure to a few areas that feel structurally important over the next couple of decades.
Curious how others here think about this kind of structure:
* Is adding satellite thematic ETFs like QTUM and UFO on top of a broad global fund generally considered worthwhile for a long horizon, or does it just add unnecessary complexity/overlap?
* How do people typically size these kinds of thematic positions relative to the core?
* Any experience with holding QTUM or UFO long-term (volatility, drawdowns, etc.)?
Not looking for personal portfolio advice more interested in general views on this style of allocation.
