Has anyone else thought about the implications of the CoreWeave/Leidos CRWV/LDOS partnership?
The recent CoreWeave/Leidos announcement got me thinking about something beyond the immediate contract.
Everyone talks about AI as:
* NVIDIA → chips
* Hyperscalers → cloud
* OpenAI/Anthropic → models
But what if the next competitive layer is **enterprise AI deployment**?
Leidos already knows how to navigate the customer, the procurement process, and the security requirements. CoreWeave brings the AI infrastructure. Together, they solve a problem neither solves alone.
That made me wonder if this is a template rather than a one-off.
Maybe the model becomes:
* AI infrastructure provider (CoreWeave)
* Trusted enterprise/government integrator (Leidos today... potentially IBM, Deloitte, Accenture, etc. in other markets)
* End customer
Instead of every enterprise spending years procuring GPUs, building secure AI infrastructure, and integrating everything themselves, the infrastructure is already there and the trusted partner focuses on deployment.
If that's the strategy, then CoreWeave starts looking less like "GPU rental" and more like an AI infrastructure platform working through established distribution channels.
I'm not saying IBM (or any specific company) is the answer. The broader question is whether the Leidos partnership signals a repeatable go-to-market strategy.
Am I reading too much into this, or is there something here that the market isn't discussing yet?
