I started my investing journey back in 2017 by grabbing a few hundred share of AMD after coming across an article that sold me on the idea that it was a steal at that price. I felt like I was late to the game but did it anyway. From there, I started searching out new industries to invest in.
I missed on Crypto but jumped into the Canadian Weed stocks boom. I had a good run with EVs but was late on AI with the exception of AMD which I can only count due to it being a long time hold. I did make some money here but not as much as I could have. With the AI cycle seeming to be cooling down, I'm looking for what's next.
A lot of factors has me leaning towards energy, particularly clean energy like hydrogen and solar, as well as energy storage so I've re-invested in the likes of BE and FCEL (both of which I regret not grabbing when they were dirt cheap since they'd been on my watch list for years). I need to do more research but I'm looking into CYATY, OKLO, NXT and I'll probably move into TAN as well. HYSR will be a moonshot bet I can throw a few thousand at and sit. I need to look at Lithium mining/refining and I'm increasing my holding in QS and grabbing FAC as well.
But I'm curious what other think in terms of what a good industry to invest in next would be. I do think that I'll keep a few AI (will probably just be some AMD) and EV stocks long term. I'll definitely keep some of the energy stocks long term once I decide which but I'm trying to keep my eyes open for other good opportunities so I'm not late or missing out again.
