Hey guys, I’m based in the UAE and I’m trying to figure out the best investing platforms to use here. I’m mainly looking for something solid for long-term investing and dollar cost averaging, since I’m not really interested in day trading or anything too risky. I’ve been doing quite a bit of research, but there are so many options that it’s hard to know what’s actually worth using and what people only recommend because of marketing or referral links.
I keep seeing names like Interactive Brokers, Sarwa, Baraka, eToro, and Saxo come up a lot. What I’m mostly looking for is a platform with reasonable or low fees, a decent user interface, easy access to both international and local markets, and a broker that is properly regulated with strong security features. I’d also prefer something that makes it easy to set up recurring investments so I can stay consistent with dollar cost averaging over the long term.
If anyone here is in the UAE and has actual experience using any of these platforms, I’d really appreciate hearing which one you use, why you chose it, and what the pros and cons have been in real life. I’m especially interested in feedback from people who are investing for the long term rather than trading actively.
