When my dad died four years ago, he left me a nice little chunk of change. I got an advisor, and left all the decisions up to him. A year ago, he switched to a new firm and asked me to follow him. For various reasons, I declined and stayed with the same firm, and was assigned a new advisor, who didn't make any major changes in the portfolio. Well, the investments have done very, very well (tech heavy), and sometimes I feel a little guilty that I didn't stick with the original fellow who chose them. I'm not asking about who would have been better going forward, only if i should I have been more loyal to the man who made the decisions that have served me so well up until now. Thoughts?
