Hey y’all I am looking for guidance / strategy on how I can protect my parents retirement accounts from the SpaceX IPO coming next month.
From my understanding US index funds will be buying the SpaceX stock which my parents will have no control over (will talk it over with them to see what their portfolio is made up of) and then eventually there will be a pump and dump because of the nature of insider vs retail investors.
It might be a short-term blip they may have to deal with unfortunately, but I’d personally not like to see my family affected by billionaire scumbags.
I’m wondering how the community is preparing the IPO especially with people in different financial positions since NASDAQ is essentially breaking its own rules / methodology. I’m in a position where I know more about investing than most people in my family, but I’m still in my early/mid 20’s so my overall experience is still limited. Thanks
