So I'll start by saying I am not a novice, have a securities license, a 6/63 so I am familiar with mutual funds and ETF's and most of my money is in those. I would say 50% of my investments are VOO or similar, 20% is QQQM or VUG or similar. Pretty boring but steady.
But I also know that my ideas aren't the only ideas so looking for some thoughts.
I have added SPMO in the last few years and it has been a shining star. Particularly since the March rebalancing. And I intend to continue to contribute to it.
That said, I'm thinking about expanding into either a single stock or maybe some sort of PE. I've looked at companies like ADBE, MSFT, NFLX, companies that have seen a continue rise in earnings with falling stock prices, and those seem good.
I have played around in the PE space, I owned APO for awhile but I was tired of the volatility. I have looked at BX, BLK, KKR and just not sure. I hear a lot about Blue Owl but it's all negative (which might be actually a buying opportunity).
I've been thinking about the Charlie Munger quote:
*"Diversification is protection against ignorance; it makes little sense if you know what you are doing."*
Funds by nature are diverse, I'm looking for something to make a bigger investment in. Ideas?
