From someone who maxed his 401k and invested in safe ETFs…it feels so discouraging

I can’t help but feel behind here. I assumed I was doing the same thing, yet being an active investor in specific stocks seems like it would have paid off substantially compared to this.

Does anyone else feel this dread? It feels like I missed the boat here.
