I have been into investing for quite some time now, since I was 16, and feel like I have finally "figured it out". I made a post a little over a year ago in the r/dividends community (as I was fascinated by the passive income it could provide at the time). In hindsight my portfolio was horrible but at least it wasn't detrimental. When I say I "figured it out" I mean I realized how simple it really is, just invest in high quality growth etfs when you're young with the goal of converting to dividend payers when you are ready to live off the the dividends. No need for these moonshot individual plays or covered call etfs ( which yes I unfortunately did own for a period).

I will attach my current portfolio structure on this post but I really only invest in etfs now, and contribute a percentage of every paycheck into my portfolio. I still have a large portion in individual stocks but comparing to last year it was a much lower percentage.

I know there is definitely some overlap with the individual large cap stocks I own and SCHG so advice is welcomed on if I should sell a large portion of the individual stocks I own to move more money into SCHG or VTI.

(And before I get flamed, yes I have a roth IRA that was maxed out last year and this year)
