So I’ve been investing since I was 18 and I’m still pretty early in building everything out. My current holdings are NVDA, PLTR, SCHD, and SCHG.
I want to add one more and I keep going back and forth between SPMO and VOO. Honestly I’m leaning SPMO just because the returns have been better and at my age I feel like I can afford to take that kind of risk. Yeah the expense ratio is higher but if it’s outperforming by that much does it really matter that much?
I know everyone defaults to VOO and I get it, it’s reliable. But I feel like with 40+ years ahead of me I don’t need to play it that safe yet.
Maybe my portfolio is already risky enough idk. That’s kinda why I’m asking here since you guys have way more experience than me. What would you honestly do at 19?
