I want to start investing but is it a bad time now to put most of my savings into the stock market?

So I was planning to invest in index fund ( i think it’s called? It has a different name in my country, known as NISA) for awhile but I keep putting it off because making the account etc is a bit of a pain in the ass.

But these days I started realizing that I should invest. However, the economy seems to be in a bad place (though stocks are going up but who’s to say when the crash is going to happen) so I’m a bit scared to put most of my savings after emergency funds into the account.

Should I wait it out or just invest anyway?
