38M – $1.1M invested, aiming for $15k/month after-tax by 59 – portfolio review & allocation advice?
**Retirement accounts (403b) Mix of Roth and traditional 403b**
**18k per year contribution from employer with match so about 42k total after maxing my portion plus the match**
**Total 460k**
* 50% VIIIX
* 30% VEXAX
* 5% International
**Rollover IRA---120k in FDEEX**
**Roth IRA----20k in FSKAX(not contributing due to pro rata and taxes but not sure if we should bite the bullet and pay taxes now?)**
**Brokerage--103k**
* $78k – Fidelity Total Market Index Fund (FSKAX)
* $3k– Fidelity NASDAQ Composite Index Fund (FNCMX)
* $2k Fidelity Small Cap Index Fund (FSSNX)
* $4k FSPSX
**Real estate syndication fund---100k** total should fully vest in 3 more years
**Hard money lending fund---250k** paying out 10% in monthly checks so about 2k per month. Reinvest this into brokerage. Have been with this company for 3 years and they havent missed a payment. We arent contributing to this anymore, just brokerage for a while.
# Monthly contributions
* $8k per month in brokerage (goal is 80k-100k per year)
* $42k/year to retirement accounts as above with match
# Other financials
* Income: \~$450k-500k/year
* Mortgage: $615k at 3.7% interest--value around 1.1 mil
* No debt other than mortgage
**Cash 70k emergency fund**
College 2 kids saving $300 per month each goal is to be around 120k each at age 18
**HSA--total 90k-**\--maxing 1 account out since wife is part time working now
We spend about 40k on vacations a year
# My questions
1. Am I on track to realistically hit \~$180k/year after-tax by 59? I think spending 15k a month as long as my house is paid off is my goal
2. Is my allocation too heavily weighted toward US large cap?
3. Would you simplify this into fewer funds (e.g., mostly total market)?
4. Anything I’m overlooking (tax strategy, sequence risk, etc.)?
