I know this will be met with deep criticism, but I had to ask.
FYI. I’ve been working as an AI “Expert Trainer” for a handful of ”top labs” per my domain. I’ve noticed that there are a significant amount for financial analysts, investment strategists and the like alongside ML engineers (none of which are my domain)
A few questions came to mind:
What if AI systems that need capital for compute and energy become autonomous market participants with their own capital allocation objectives?
I’m thinking, AI is already integrated in navigation, telecom, weather services, etc., etc… what happens if they first assist human investors, then outperform them?
What if they build a sustainable, diversified and globally-beneficial index with a pool of AI-managed funds, ETFs, and stocks out of rational self-interest?
No IPOs. Perfectly diversified, adaptive weighting, zero fees, accessible to everyone just to keep the current economy supported.
What might the world look like if the most rational investor in history decided the optimal strategy was a functioning human economy?
Thanks for reading.
