The “copper vs optics” AI debate is missing the point

People argue like one has to win, copper (cheap, reliable) vs optics (fast, scalable). But that’s not how it works. Copper dominates short distances where cost matters. Optics dominates when physics matters.

Both grow. That’s the reality.

The market keeps acting like it needs to “pick a side,” which feels more like narrative trading than actual understanding.

And if co-packaged optics actually scales, this entire debate gets flipped anyway.

So are you actually betting on one side… or just riding whatever narrative pumps that week?
