Started my account in August 2023, i’ve had several unexpected life events occur so I was not able to max out my contributions for the 2023 year but I am on track to max out for 2024 and beyond.
I’m looking for suggestions for any other index funds or safe dividend stocks/etfs to invest in. I currently have $1150 in settled funds waiting to be invested. Currently I invest the large majority into FXAIX and FSKAX, with my highest dividend payment being $24 from 14.38 shares of FSKAX.
I also invest a small amount in individual stocks that I like based on my own personal speculation/novice research which has proven to work pretty well minus on one specific stock. I am not going to continue doing this unless it’s in very small amounts here and there as it is risky.
I’m looking for suggestions for low cost index funds that give dividends, or if I should just play it safe and stick with my current investment strat and allocating almost all my contributions to FSKAX/FXAIX
I’m leaning towards starting to put some of my contributions into FZROX as it is a zero fee fund, but it doesn’t offer dividends, which isn’t a deal breaker. Any thoughts on FZROX?
