So let me get this straight. When Oracle, Google, Microsoft, Meta, lay people off (heck really any corporation in any sector) it's due to AI. Meanwhile the company that produces AI, OpenAI, needs to hire more humans? Couldn't they just spin up some Mac minis to create a few thousand PhD level workers to fill out there work force?
Maybe Oracle can teach OpenAI how to get 30,000 employees worth of productivity gains from AI so they won't need to waste money on us filthy humans.
Or, maybe we're all being a lied to with most of this AI hype. Just maybe.
