Is there any safe way to escape dollar devaluation without gambling on crypto?
I’ve been looking at my portfolio lately, and even with the market "up," (not even sure with this) it feels like I’m standing still. Between the cost of housing and general cost of living in 2026, the real-world value of a dollar is just not what it was three years ago. It feels like a "hidden tax" that no one wants to talk about.
I’m worried about dollar devaluation accelerating. I’ve tried the HYSA route, but it barely tracks inflation. I’m skeptical of the volatility in the tech sector right now, and I’m definitely not a "crypto bro."
For those of you who have been through high-inflation cycles before, how are you actually preserving the weight of your wealth? Are we at the point where moving back into "real" assets is the only move, or am I overthinking the macro trends?
Would really appreciate your comments!
