A family member has about $50k each in both gold and silver. They need to sell one or the other, and whatever they keep can be held long-term (years),
My initial thought is silver being more volatile might be the better thing to keep, and if it doubles this year then sell it. Whereas the gold would likely only go up by maybe 20% by the end of the year.
We don't follow these kinds of things much (the family member inherited it), so it would be great to head advice from people who deal with this stuff more regularly. Recommendations?
