New US short sale reporting timelines are back on the compliance calendar

The new US short sale reporting timelines are no longer theoretical. Monthly reporting to the SEC is coming, and aggregated short position data will eventually become public.
It won’t expose individual funds, but it does add a new transparency layer around concentrated shorts.
Could affect compliance costs and how crowded positions are managed.

Interested to hear whether people think this changes anything in practice.
