invest 350k, but must generate less than 6000 annual income in interest and dividends

IRL, will absolutely consult a fiduciary, but curious to on baseline some basic ideas.

A person I know to will receive a tax free windfall that after fees will amount to about $350k. They are on medicaid with home care, so this amount is not enough for the rest of their life. they have about $6k more of income that they can earn and stay under their state's non-magi income threshold, and the money will go into a medicaid asset protection trust.

Their children were able to acheive financial comfort and have enough resources and help from family that they would like this trust managed to generate growth as a family legacy and don't forsee needing these assets. to manage family politics, the money must stay in the trust until their natural death. Remaining life expectancy anywhere from 5 to 15 years.

any ideas on portfolios? I'm thinking prob a vti/vxus/sgov heavily tilted to minimize dividends and interest for ease of management.
