I’m 30 years old and I’m trying to finally put some structure into my investing and think long-term, not gamble or chase quick wins. I’d really appreciate some outside opinions.
Current situation:
Right now my portfolio looks like this:
iShares Core S&P 500 UCITS ETF – \~€1,900
DB Physical Gold EUR Hedged – \~€2,600
2 shares of Nvidia, 1 share of Netflix, €300 in crypto (just for fun, not serious money)
So nothing crazy, pretty basic so far.
What I’m planning next:
Starting Monday, I’m planning to invest an additional €3–4k into Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS ETF (VWCE) and make this my main long-term holding.
The idea is:
VWCE as the core
S&P 500 as a slight US tilt
Gold mainly for stability / psychology during drawdowns
Individual stocks and crypto kept small on purpose
My goal:
By around August 2027, I want to build enough invested capital so that, on average, the portfolio growth equals roughly €1,200 year
Not dividends, not guaranteed income, just average long-term growth. I know the market could hit -30/40% and I’m sure preparing for that scenario.
Once that feels stable, the plan is to keep going and slowly push further over times.
