I'm a big time traveller, but I don't want to rent forever, where/what is a good place to invest on a budget mid-term?

This is one of those questions which I know is generic, but for me its hard to google for, because I don't know what questions to ask. I'm an avid traveller, I'm 28 years of age. I just got back from 9 months abroad in Asia, loved it. I'll be moving to China next month to teach kids English. I want to have travel in my scope for the forseeable future, but I also want to be smart and have a good safety net. There's no way i want to be renting into my 50s. My new job will allow me to roughly save 50kusd over a 3 year period.

Tbh I feel like property abroad makes sense. Access to properties on a single income here in Australia is near impossible. I want somewhere I can invest and have renters in for a long period, providing some passive income. But i also want it to be a place I could see myself living in, and that's tough in Australia in my situation. The beach would be nice for example. Access to a major airport, would be really nice. Access to amenities would be great. I can't have that with 50k...

What countries do you think i should be looking into otherwise, considering my wants and needs? Maybe, i could be investing in something else other than property, i don't know. But for me the anxiety of not having some kind of property is quite immense, so there is an emotional attachment to that idea.

Tbh, i don't have much direction. I need someone who has the same goals and desires as me to provide advice. I know I'm limited with my money, but alas, its difficult at this stage to change that.
