I have a modest Roth IRA all in an index fund similar to s&p500. I would like to make a change to reflect my values. largely I do not want to contribute to any of the companies funding/supporting ICE or the current administration. I care very much about sustainability, the environment, and human rights. I know environmental index funds exist. I would prefer to not give any money to the US right now. Foreign stocks? I’d just like to start a conversation here and bounce ideas off of each other. Also I considered just pulling out of the stock market but my understanding is that if I held the money in a bank the bank would just be investing it for themselves in probably eviler companies.
