I contributed $7000 to my Roth IRA in January 2025.
I opened a traditional IRA with a $0 balance on 1/4/26.
I recharacterized that $7000 to a traditional IRA 1/10/26. This included all gains since January 2025.
I did the backdoor Roth conversion and the entire balance went into my Roth IRA.
My traditional IRA now has a $0 balance again.
Can I contribute $7500 to my traditional IRA right now and do the backdoor Roth conversion immediately following that? I know my last moves were for a 2025 IRA but there’s no rules about doing it twice in a calendar year?
