Took 50% of the value of my long term index fund as margin to invest in xAI. Am i regarded?
I have a very thin SMA and buying power, but if this pans out i could 5-6x my money in 1-2 years. Also i am adding cash whenever i can to my main portfolio to coushion it up.
With the recent hot IPO announcements, i believe its only a matter of time before xAI joins the list with an insane valuation. My initial estimate is 1T, but could easily hit 2T and after being listed we’ll see.
I believe life will offer you a small amount of no-brainer opportunities, i believe this one is mine. Otherwise im usually risk-conscious, stick to index funds, take my 5-20% yearly, and be content. This time the margin loan thing made me think i may have untapped potential here, and i know this could blow but im taking my chances.
Is this the smartest thing i did or the stupidest?
