Google is pivoting into education. They don't see AI as a tool that will be mocked as ChatGPT slop. They see it as something that needs to be developed into a respectable substitute for textbooks, tutors, and many teachers. What is possibly more important than education? Certainly not the next iMac. Google>Apple.
Apple was an indispensable part of American life with Steve Jobs. I was gifted an MP3 player for Christmas in 07. I asked for an iPod. When asked to explain the difference to my dad, all I could do is cry inside and hope my mom would go exchange it for the iPod. Think about how \*different\* the name for the iPod even was. It's actually straight up weird. There's nothing weird about Apple anymore. They're just living off Jobs' legacy of thinking different but being cool. Their aggressive dividends is the only thing propping up the price of the stock. It definitely isn't the "new" iPhone "pro". If their product were like Coca-cola or Red Bull, who cares? But tech is about innovating and pivoting. Not releasing a new flavor.
