I have some disposable income and want to start investing. I started informing myself by reading some books, and I think I’m the kind of person that will buy and hold ETFs in broad and diversified indices, with a cost-average strategy. I manly want to edge inflation while sleeping well at night.
However, by nature, I want to better understand investing and finance. There are still too many words I hear/read and understand (leverage, derivatives, forex, CDF, options, …). I prefer well structured books over string of internet webpages, so I’d like some good book suggestions for deepening my knowledge.
Basically I’d like to go from nearly zero to a very good knowledge of what people talk about, and how different financial instruments work. I have a degree in STEM, so fairly technical books are not an issue (or even preferred).
Thanks!
