I hold a UK based stocks & shares ISA.
I have 4 investment trusts to spread risk.
I prefer IT’s because they are low maintenance, virtually guarantee passive income in both good times and bad times, can be traded as easily as individual stocks and often trade below NAV (at a discount).
Is it better to cherry pick your own stocks in up to 30 companies?
Are the IT fees so high it makes them a less cost effective investment?
Are junk bonds paying 10% interest just better?
Overall I prefer IT’s and building them up for passive income during both my working life and retirement.
