Question and discussion for S & P 500 Investors.

Question and topic of conversation for S & P 500 Investors:

Do you invest in a SP500 index fund, but then buy some sector ETFs to overweight any particular sectors? I saw that Schwab rates specific sectors outlooks monthly. For example, for January 2026, Communication Services, Health Care, and Industrials are all rated to outperform vs the SP500. They also list a few rated to underperform.

It would be easy enough to keep your "SP500" investment strategy account slightly overweight in those sectors by buying some sector specific ETFs in those sectors rated to outperform.

Does anybody do this? If so, how much extra do you put in sectors you hope will outperform the SP500?

This is the link to the Schwab webpage that presents their sector ratings. [https://www.schwab.com/learn/story/stock-sector-outlook](https://www.schwab.com/learn/story/stock-sector-outlook)

Discussion appreciated!
