What expectations are there for precious metals like gold and silver? I'm planning on investing for long-term, at least until I retire or to have soemthimg to pass down to family(currently in my 20s), and I'm looking into other options than ETFs.
I personally can't see these prices being sustainable, barring some major economic downturn like war or a recession (which is obviously on most people's/bank's minds). Though silver I'm guessing might not go back down too much due to JP Morgan exiting their short position and loading up on silver. Also, there is talk of banks buying more gold, along with possible shortages from manufacturing.
