Target Date Fund or S&P 500 in 401k

Right now my 401k is 100% in a 2065 target date fund. The mix is about 90% stocks and 10% bonds. i’m in my early 20s so I know based on my age I should lean towards higher risk which means basically no bonds. My roth ira and personal brokerage is all heavily invested in s&p 500 already.

So I was planning on switching my 401k to 100% in s&p 500 but I checked today and was surprised that for 2025, my target date fund actually outperformed s&p 500. This made me consider keeping it in a target date fund although I know I really shouldn’t let one year determine my investment plan. But since I already invest heavily in S&P in my other accounts, would it actually be smart to keep my 401k in a target date fund?
