What do people think about investing in automotive companies as future knowhow and facilitators of industrial scale robot production?

Big growth tends to happen to technology companies that develop tech that people are excited about and that are seeing at least some consequential commercial returns. In the next 5 years, if this is robots, where will that growth be seen?
