Seriously, I was looking at my savings account today and the interest is a joke. It’s basically 0.01% while the banks lend our money out and make a killing. It feels like we're getting robbed by the middlemen.
I'm actually trying to build a roadmap for a better "lending-first" neo-bank (learning front-end right now to get it started), but I wanted to check if I'm the only one feeling this way.
Where are you guys actually putting your cash to beat inflation right now? Is everyone just stuck with high-street banks or are you using something else? Also, if a new platform came out that was backed by US institutions but offered better compounding, would you even trust it with like $1k to start, or is that a hard no?
Just trying to see if this is a problem worth solving before I dive deeper into the build. Cheers.
