AI stocks are ripping. Insiders just cashed out $16B. Coincidence or signal?

Everyone is talking about AI changing everything.

Stock prices agree.

What is getting less airtime is what insiders are doing while prices hit records.

According to Bloomberg, tech insiders sold over $16 billion worth of stock during the AI rally.

Not rumors. Actual filings.

Here are some of the bigger ones.

Jeff Bezos. Sold ~25M Amazon shares. About $5.7B.
Safra Catz (Oracle). Around $2.5B.
Michael Dell. Roughly $2.2B.
Jensen Huang (Nvidia). About $1B, right as Nvidia touched a $5T market cap.
Jayshree Ullal (Arista Networks). Nearly $1B.
Mark Zuckerberg. About $945M.
Nikesh Arora and Baiju Bhatt. Both north of $700M.

Most of these sales were done under 10b5-1 plans.
These are pre-scheduled sales set up months in advance. They exist to reduce insider trading concerns. They do not automatically mean something is wrong.

Still.

The contrast is interesting.

Public narrative. AI is early. Massive upside. We are just getting started.
Private behavior. Convert stock into cash while liquidity is deep and prices are high.

This is not fear-mongering. It is not a call to buy or sell.
It is just observing incentives and timing.

A few honest questions for the room.

If you truly believed your stock was undervalued, would you sell this much?
Is this just rational diversification after a historic run?
Or is retail excitement providing the cleanest exit window possible?

Curious how others read this.
