This is a continuation of my post from yesterday. I appreciate all of the valuable insight. And I am coming to the realization that I’m holding onto too much cash.
My question is, how many different index funds should I be invested in? Right now I hold VOO IYW and SPTE, as well as other individual stocks. Also what is the maximum amount I should have in a single index?
I understand that broad index funds will all have similar returns. But my concern is that if one fails for whatever reason and you have all your eggs in that basket, you’re screwed.
