Hello everyone!
I’m trying to follow the Boglehead 3 fund portfolio for my Roth IRA. I have my IRA at Fidelity and I’m torn between doing a 60/40 split between FZROX and FZILX or VTI and VXUS. Since I’m in my early 20s I’m not planning to do bonds anytime soon.
Initially I was leaning towards VTI/VXUS because ETFs are better for portability and I like the ability to just sell during the day as opposed to waiting at the end of the day.
However for FZROX/FZILX I learned that portability doesn’t matter as you can liquidate all the assets in a tax advantaged account before you move to another company. Additionally there is no expense ratio and also I see the appeal of having mutual funds in a tax advantaged account than in a regular brokerage.
