moomoo Review: Is it actually better than the alternatives? (Honest thoughts after 5 months)

I opened and funded my moomoo account about three months ago because I was finally done with my previous broker.

To be blunt, I came from Robinhood. I’ve wanted to leave ever since the GME fiasco where they turned off the buy button, but I honestly just got lazy and dragged my feet for years. Recently, I decided to finally pull the trigger and move to a platform that prioritizes stability over gamification.

Here is my honest breakdown after using moomoo daily:

Pros:

* Market Data: The free Level 2 data is a game-changer. Unlike my old app where I had to pay extra or just guess, seeing the order book depth here helps a lot.
* Trading Hours: The access to full pre-market (4 AM ET) is excellent. I like being able to react to news before the standard market opens.
* charts: The charting is intense. I honestly only use VWAP and RSI, but it’s nice to have a million other indicators available if I ever get smart enough to use them.

Cons:

* The UI is... A Lot: It’s super cluttered. Information overload is real.

Has anyone else finally made the switch to moomoo recently? For those of you who have been using moomoo for a while, what are your thoughts on the platform? Did you find the transition difficult, or did the better tools make it worth the effort?
