Looking for feedback on portfolio structure and withdrawal strategy.
Age: 36
Location: Europe (expenses in EUR, open to moving to a cheaper country)
Portfolio: ~$2M USD
Plan: quit working and live 100% off the portfolio
Target spend: ~$70–80k USD/year net (high quality of life baseline, not lean)
Flexible spending: willing to cut discretionary expenses during market drawdowns
Assume same tax rate on dividends and capital gains (25%)
Pension: $800/month ($9.6k/year) inflation-adjusted starting ~age 65
Questions:
Is this withdrawal rate reasonable given flexible spending and a future pension?
What assets and % would you invest the portfolio in and what withdrawal strategy use?
Any strong views on managing USD assets with EUR spending?
Looking for practical feedback from early retirees / Europe-based FIRE folks.
