Hit 550k NW at 24, should I continue being conservative or start taking some risk
Hi everyone,
Looking for some advice on my portfolio. I’m 24 and just hit 550k net worth. I have been pretty disciplined so far, saving a lot and mainly investing in VOO with a little bit in other tech but was wondering after passing the 500k milestone given my age if it makes sense to be more risky.
Currently my portfolio is as such
\* GOOGL: \~$120k
\* Other Big Tech (AAPL, AMZN, META): \~$15k
\* VOO / VFFSX (401k): \~$400k
\* Cash: \~$15k
Instead of continuing to strictly only invest in S&P 500, I’m considering shifting some of the VOO weight into QQQM for more tech exposure and also investing into more individual plays I actually believe in such as ASTS, RDDT, ONDS, and TE. Is it crazy for to move from this strictly VOO/chill strategy when I’m already on a good trajectory? If I start buying these higher-risk/growth stocks, should I keep that in my taxable brokerage or try to keep it in my Roth/IRA? (Thinking about the tax implications if one of these actually moons).
Thanks for any advice!
