Entering and exiting decision

Hey guys!
I wonder what is your strategy to enter and exit stock or options?
Let's say when I trade options, I analyze the stock that I would buy and hold for 3-6 mo based on a trend, then I look for a contract with expiration date 3-4 Month ahead with Delta no less than 20. Then I just pick a day when option drops 10-20% and buying it. I roll the option when I see 30% gains. If it gains 50%-70% or more after roll I just sell it and go buy my kids new toys or take them to the movies :)))

Most of the times I just buy and hold stocks that I like for years. So in this case I set a certain amount, lets say $2k. I split the amount in 3 parts and enter on red days within 1-2 weeks. If I see that stock it not doing well after 6-8 months, I may relocate funds to other stock with good fundamentals but may slightly oversold.

I don't always follow my own rules, though. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it hurts 😁
