Like the title says. I recently turned 24 and have been investing since COVID. I had the goal to have 100k invested before I turned 24 and briefly touched it before my stocks returned to the 80k range. Last night I decided to bet on a college football game using Robin Hood’s prediction market. I placed the bet an instantly was down a couple thousand and spiraled and ended the night down $22,000 taking my portfolio down from around 80k to $57,000. I immediately called support to see if I could ban myself from the prediction markets at first the chat bot said no but after I eventually got to speak to someone. I’m completely devastated that I threw away all those years of compounding and all my gains. Has anyone else had a big loss like this and recovered?
