Need some advice. I’m more of a trader in how I treat my portfolio. I’m constantly looking to make moves with approx. 50% of the portfolio. The other 50% is is Amazon with a cost average of $211.
A few days ago I bought some core weave (about 7% worth of portfolio). I’m already up over 20% on it, and I know that this stock is highly volatile.
Shortly after the ipo I bought at around $40 and sold it all at like $43.. was happy to make a few bucks and at the time I didn’t know a whole lot about their business. And then I watch it run all the way up to $185 and missed out on all of those potential gains.
So my question is this, should I take the profits now with the 20%+ gain in only a few days? Or should I wait this one out in case it runs back up over $100 and keeps running from there.. possibly retests the highs of $185.
Full disclaimer, I did sell about 15% pf the shares near the highs today, so this question is for the reminding 85% which I still own.
