Whats the difference between s&p 500 and monthly high dividend etfs?

so what exactly is the difference, im assuming that s&p 500 has a higher long term returns but low short term returns and the dividend etfs like qqqi or omah have high monthly but low long term returns or whatever idk im new to this investing stuff

also which is better, high yield saving accounts or high dividend for monthly income? thnx
