I was emptying an old drawer and came across a stock certificate for 50 shares dated 1999. It is for Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Inc. (DLJdirect). I recall them being a stock brokerage company. They are no longer in business, and I read that they merged with Credit Suisse of Boston. DLJdirect was renamed CSFdirect, later became HarrisDirect, and was then sold to the Bank of Montreal in 2002. HarrisDirect was later sold to E\*TRADE.
Is this certificate worth anything, or is it just wallpaper?
